Mac is the visionary behind Equilibrium Insurance Partners. Born and raised in Grosse Ile, Michigan (just south of Detroit), Mac spent most of his childhood playing hockey and golf. He excelled in both sports and eventually went on to play each of them collegiately (NCAA DIII) at Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Sports would be overshadowed by his academics; Mac was Becker College’s President of Student Government for two years, and in 2018, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Concentration in Marketing. He was also awarded the Dean’s Award (Valedictorian) of his class, with 8 perfect 4.0 GPA semesters.
After graduating college, Mac entered the insurance industry full-time, working for his family-owned agency of 26 employees, Howey & Associates, in Woodhaven, Michigan. Mac is an incredibly accomplished agent, breaking his agency’s 67-year sales record in 2020, and then breaking his own record again in 2021. He has received arguably the most-sought out accolade in all of the insurance known as a Certified Insurance Counselor (“CIC”), passing exams of over 100 hours worth of classroom and study time.
In 2022, Mac decided it was time to venture out on his own and search for a new challenge: creating an insurance agency from scratch. Mac has been licensed to sell property and casualty insurance since 2014 and currently resides in Perrysburg, Ohio.
